55 Gallon Betta Sorority Community Tank
Probably half a year at this point.
55 gallon betta sorority community tank. Thanks for the help. Some aquarists report the best success with tanks at least twenty gallons in size. 50 to 75 gallons is even better if you want a vibrant and diverse community of fish.
Also you need to take into account the height of this 55 gallon. I know they can t be with each other but i thought i heard that they can live with tetras and other schoolers. Another important need for a betta sorority really any tank is a heater.
Seems like a waste to me for just a single betta. Long style tanks are best since this gives each betta room at the surface without having to squabble over space. I have a 55 gallon tank that holds unfotunately only a crowntail betta male a corie and a monstorously large plecostomus just the common pleco.
I have an ac20 on my 10 gallon sorority and a ac30 on my 10 gallon endler breeding tank and neither the bettas or endlers are bothered by the soft flow. The betta will probably hang around the top mid section and rarely go down the substrate level so you need to have other fish as well. It s overboard unless you heavily plant it and get a nice and healthy ecosystem going.
I recommend using at least a 25 gallon long aquarium for betta sororities and starting with either 3 or 5 females. Opinions differ on the minimum size tank for a female betta sorority aquarium. Betta in a 55 gallon community tank in the making.
I am setting up a 55 gallon community tank and i was wondering if i could add 1 betta fish. The betta mad hatter and the pleco impy have been in this tank together for quite a few months.
