Betta Fish And Zebra Danios
A long aquarium is always better for zebra danios.
Betta fish and zebra danios. My betta however would not care less about his little tankmates. Zebra danios swim fast and like swimming in groups. Then again the betta i had in there with them was the biggest bada in the world and took crap from no fish.
Zebra danios are huge fin nippers and betta fish have huge fins. Bettas don t make great community fish as they are either likely to attack other fish or be nipped at themselves. If your tank is long and has enough plants where the betta could retreat then it should be fine.
Single danios can get stressed and will wreak havoc on bettas and other fish. It was more like the zebra danios were being aggressive to him. I definitely wouldn t keep them with zebra danios as they are quite a nippy fish.
They got along great. Hi it depends on the fish tank setup. In my 29 gallon tank before i got my gouramis i had 3 zebra danios and 1 male betta.
Never had any problems with nipped fins or chasing. Okay because danios can be super nippy fish especially with bettas flowy fins you will want to get at least 4 more danios before you move the first one. On the other hand most captive bred betta fish are slow swimming explorers and tend to be aggressive at times.
My tank is very well planted and has lots of hiding spots for both. Any fish with long flowing fins such as angelfish bettas and guppies are potential targets of the active zebra danio. Zebra danios are a peaceful fish that get along with most tankmates however they will nip fins of some species.
