Betta Fry Water Level
The ideal ph for a betta fry tank is 7 to 7 2.

This causes some of my betta fry to die and some. Water hardness can be slightly lowered by boiling the water to remove temporary hardness although unless your water is very hard you should be within the 5 to 20 dh range that betta fish can live happily in. Good water quality is very important for a successful spawn but also for the health of the fry and to stimulate fast growth.
I did a mistake due to keeping my betta fry in deep water. Stay on top of water conditions and make sure that parameters are within an acceptable range. When it is clean enough you can remove the remaining 50 of the water from the top with a clear cup so the job will go a bit faster and you can see if you ve accidentally scooped up any fry.
Just taking it easy. You can keep the male with the fry for up to 5 days to take care of the fry. If it falls below that temperature your betta will respond by becoming inactive and losing his appetite.
Betta fry are very susceptible to unstable tank conditions which includes the quality of the water and the temperature. This is not to say they cannot live in water that is more alkaline mine do well at 8 4 but they are accustomed to this level and i am not breeding them. If the ph is unstable you ll need to add a suitable stabilizer to the water and keep a close eye on the level by testing the water at least once every day.
I wouldn t recommend more than a 50 70 water change per day. Double the water level at this point to reduce the amount of toxic elements in the water. So you ll need to check that daily using a strip test kit or similar.
