Betta Losing Color Clamped Fins
It s not uncommon for smaller faster fish to fin nip and harass your betta.
Betta losing color clamped fins. Sorry to hear about your betta with clamped fins and that is generally struggling. Try feeding him wingless fruit flies and live daphnia. The fish looks like it doesn t have ich or any other issues like fungal bacterial or fin rot and seems in general good health apart from the clamped fins etc.
My betta has clamped fins but no other symptoms besides the facts that since yesterday he stopped swiming around as much because of his fins its getting worse i did a 75 water change and am doing 25 daily changes but as i said its not helping i have a 5 l 1 3g tank. Or too low or too high a temperature. His scales seem fine and he s not acting sick he just looks awful.
I first noticed it on his tail fin it seemed shorter and ragged then on his bottom fin and now he s missing like all of his fins and what s left is ragged. I ve had betas before and this has never happened. And of course one of the most common causes of fin loss in bettas is fin rot.
The dried worm diet is high in bacteria and low in some nutrients. 78 to 82 degrees is the right temperature range in fahrenheit degrees 25 5 to 28 degrees celcius. I m guessing that he s about 6 months.
Clamped fins indicate stress or illness or bad diet.
