Betta Male Eating Eggs
Ok here is the problem with my male betta he already done spawning and it seem like he didn t care about the eggs falling to the bottom of the tank at all the female did most of the work picking up the eggs and putting it in the bubble nest after i took the female out he didn t stay under the nest to look after the eggs he just swim around the tank not taking care of the eggs then two days.
Betta male eating eggs. If its just a male betta in the tank by itself and you see eggs those are probably just bubbles for his bubble nest. The betta shouldn t be eating the eggs if they are betta eggs from a female betta. The male will also attack the female if they are kept in the same tank.
He does that a few times with the female until. And if it still doesn t work. Have you ever breed betta and you lost all the eggs due to male betta eats all eggs.
The male betta will guard its nest and will wait for or find a female to spawn with. The male betta not the female will care for the eggs in the bubble nest. They protect the eggs and make sure they hatch in their bubble nest.
It is the male betta fish s job to swiftly capture the eggs in its mouth and place the eggs securely into the bubble nest. Now i m having trouble with 2 of my male bettas. Two days after spawning the chemicals in his mouth change and dissolve the outer layer of the eggs to release the fry.
A few days later the bubble nest disappears and there is no fries. After the bettas bred and i take out the female the male betta eats all the eggs. I have lots of bettas and have bred many of them successfully.
What will happen when betta mates the male sort of coil around the female and as the egg is laid he squirt out his sperms. As the egg floats down he picks it up and blows it into the bubble nest. I can see this because his belly grows bigger and then the male doesn t take care for the bubble nest.
