Betta Spits Pellets Out
Hes been problematic very lethargic not moving laying on his side a lot i thought he was dead the other day as he would not move at all.
Betta spits pellets out. So in a lot of cases your betta will spit food out a couple of times because he literally can t swallow it. My betta spits out his pellets but i thought he was doing better hi so i recently got a new betta ive had him about 4 days i believe. He seems interested when i offer him another piece but does the same thing all over again then doesn t take any more food. Certain pellets are larger than the size of the betta s eye so they might spit out the food that is simply too large to digest. When your fish is accepting that you can introduce a small number of pellets or flake foods.
The most common reason your betta is spitting out food is simply that it s too big. I mix it with blood worms. Your betta s stomach is roughly the size of its eyeball and some pellets are even bigger than that.
So in a lot of cases your betta will spit food out a couple of times because he literally can t swallow it. If its lethargy the most common problem is the water temperature if you raise the temperature with a heater then it could possibly be the size of the tank or the condition of your water.
