Can Betta Fish Eat Raw Shrimp
So a peaceful tank community is largely dependent on the temperament of the individual betta.
Can betta fish eat raw shrimp. No fish is allowed to eat any meat. Bettas are carnivores and will eat smaller things like for example they will tear up a shrimp if they could catch it. In most cases bettas can live happily with shrimp.
Betas only have a stomache as big as their eyes so they dont need a whole lot of food. Bettas need a temperature between 76 82 f and a ph level as close to 7 as possible. If you want to keep shrimp with your betta then be prepared for casualties.
Cherry shrimp on the other hand can survive in a temperature between 77 81 f and a ph level between 6 2 7 3. Bettas are small carnivorous fish which means they need high amounts of protein in their diet to survive and thrive. I do however sugest getting bettas some blood worms because they are really inexpensive 2 or 3 bux and you only need to feed a beta a little a day.
Any fish that can eat your cherry shrimp is going to. You can do this successfully as long as you keep the right type of fish. And luckily cherry shrimp and bettas love the same conditions.
Are there some good alternatives. Why betta can t eat cooked shrimp. But other than tinier small fish bettas cannot eat any meat at all.
If you don t then your betta may injure or kill them. The only fish that can is a shark because it can digest it easier than a small betta. However if you know your betta has a good temperament or you ve kept shrimp in the past with him then the chances are your cherry shrimp will be fine.
