White Spot Under Betta Fish
Weird white and kinda pinkish string on my male betta fish belly.
White spot under betta fish. The only fallback of detecting the symptoms of ich through observation of its body surface is that by the time the white spots are observable the betta fish is already very sick. This is my female betta that has the white spot in her too but she has her own 10 gal to herself. 1 if the spots are small like grains of salt then it is likely a disease called ich.
Early stages may resemble fin loss but are usually spread along a wider area. Also known as white spot ich or ick is a parasitic disease that causes white dots rings or spots on the belly fins tail gills and other parts of the skin of betta. Betta fish are prone to this disease because they have those long fancy tails.
It can be prevented by changing and conditioning the water regularly and also optimizing parameters like ammonia ph nitrites and dissolved solids. White spots could be a couple different things the mostly likely are. White spots or whitish appearance along the edges of the fins.
The tank is too small for your betta under the recommended 5 gallons. Big white ball under belly.
