Erythromycin Betta Fin Rot

I was in a similar situation betta in a 2 gallon with recurrent fin rot despite perfect water parameters heat filter plants salt daily water changes etc.

It s also interesting to know that sometimes the fin won t grow back in the same color it was before it could be a few shades darker or lighter.

It is always best to catch any visible fin rot signs or symptoms early because it can quickly progress without attention. Erythromycin can generally be combined safely with triple sulfa for a more wider spectrum treatment especially for use against staphylococcus infections. I had erythromycin leftover from treating blue green algae but it didn t help.
