My bettas spawned this morning and the original bubble nest has disintegrated so much that there are lots of floating eggs on the surface of the water below the floating styrofoam cup halve that i placed in the breeding tank. The male betta didn t make a lot of bubble nest but i released the female anyway last night. Aside from releasing the eggs the female betta fish do not play any role in raising or protecting the young.
